GFSI launches the 2nd Edition of its acclaimed Global Markets Programme - Manufacturing Scope. This voluntary step-by-step toolkit for continuous improvement of effective food safety management systems has been thoroughly revised and is now available for access on the GFSI website. The Toolkit remains true to its original mission: to provide a pathway to achieve accredited certification, support capacity building efforts and improve market access opportunities for small and less sophisticated agri-businesses operating locally and globally.
The GFSI Global Markets Programme has so far been developed to cover the scopes of manufacturing and primary production. The Manufacturing scope focuses on operation of primary products and manufacturing of processed foods, while the primary production scope focuses on the farming of plants, grains and pulses. A revision of the primary production toolkit is also planned.
The GFSI Global Markets Programme Technical Working Group integrated the rich feedback from users and food safety experts collected over the last years, as well as best practices and an improved format. This revised version is tailor-made to the needs of small food companies to support their efforts to improve food safety practices and grow their businesses.
The new version is available as of today on the Toolkits page of the dedicated Market Access section of the GFSI website.
