    The new “Safe Food for Canadians Act” that will soon be implemented is likely to have a major impact on about 80,000 food facilities in Canada. A good number of them will seek certification to a Global Food Safety Initiative-recognised scheme to comply with the legislation. GFSI is holding its first Focus Day in Canada to provide insights into scaling up food safety systems with the GFSI approach.

  • GFSI recognises IFS Scope Extension for Storage and Distribution

    The GFSI Board of Directors is pleased to announce that IFS - International Featured Standards has achieved recognition against the Guidance Document Sixth Edition for the scope of Storage and Distribution (J). This is in addition to the scopes for which IFS has already achieved GFSI recognition (C, D, EI, EII, EIII, EIV, and L). The GFSI Guidance Document’s Scope J, Provision of Storage and Distribution Services, is the latest extension to the scopes covered by the GFSI benchmarking requirements, and includes the management of safety schemes for storage facilities and the distribution vehicles for food and feed.

    El Diario Oficial de la Federación de México publicó su primera norma voluntaria sobre inocuidad de los alimentos para México el 5 de julio de 2018, tras una consulta pública durante la primavera de 2018. La norma es resultado de un proyecto elaborado durante 18 meses de colaboración entre el Grupo Local México la Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI, Iniciativa Global para la Inocuidad Alimentaria) y la Dirección General de Normas (DGN) del Ministerio de Economía de México.

    El Diario Oficial de la Federación de México publicó su primera norma voluntaria sobre inocuidad de los alimentos para México el 5 de julio de 2018, tras una consulta pública durante la primavera de 2018.     メキシコ連盟公式ジャーナル(Diario Oficial de la Federación)は、今春からのパブリック・コンサルテーションの終了に引き続き、2018年7月5日にメキシコ初となる食品安全自主規範を発表しました。規範は18ヵ月に渡る、グローバル・フード・セーフティ・イニチアチブ (GFSI)とメキシコ政府経済省、基準一般指示局(Dirección General de Normas-DGN)との協働の成果です。
