GFSI Speaks at “e-Commerce of Food”

“e-Commerce of Food” -  International Conference on Trends and Official Control
24th - 26th June 2019
Berlin, Germany

The European Commission and the  German Federal Office of Consumer Protection and Food Safety (BVL) have kindly invited GFSI to speak at their upcoming event titled “e-Commerce of Food”. Anne Gerardi, GFSI Senior Manager, will present the work done over the past two years by dedicated working groups in GFSI's China and US-Canada Local Groups. The continuous rapid growth of e-commerce and on-demand food delivery has highlighted a clear need to evaluate and assess food safety risks, regulatory and audit gaps, as well as opportunities for alignment. These groups have convened both industry experts and regulators on the topic of e-commerce and its impact on food safety. Anne will explain how GFSI intends to continue the work on this key topic at a global level in the near future.
