SIAL is the world's largest food innovation exhibition and for the third consecutive event, GFSI was present, shooting a segment on SIAL TV. GFSI's Director Véronique Discours-Buhot was joined on a diverse panel by the food safety leads for French agribusiness giants Danone and Auchan, Board members Frédéric René and Pierre De Ginestel, as well as Bruno Sechet, Technical Director of IFS, one of the GFSI-recognised certification programmes. The theme? When collaboration is crucial! How can the industry work together with all food safety stakeholders to secure safe food for consumers everywhere? Guided by SIAL's journalist, they explained to viewers how food businesses can benefit from the work of the Global Food Safety Initiative. They also shared some exciting advancements that GFSI is leading on harmonisation, knowledge-sharing and partnerships on a global multi-stakeholder scale. Watch it here.

  • The Shift of Trust From Brands to Products - 2019/02/14

We have long talked about how stakeholders, and increasingly consumers, are demanding more sustainable operations and products from companies. Often such public demands have been targeting specific and in particular big brands. Consumer loyalty is often connected to these same big brands, and in the past we, as consumers, were loyal to brands whose products we purchase, today we tend to identify more with products than with brands.
