    지난 8일, 2018 국제식품안전회의(Global Food Safety Conference)가 성공적으로 막을 내렸다. 일본 도쿄의 그랜드 닛코 호텔에서 열린 이번 행사에는 사상 최대의 대표단이 참석했다. 국제소비재포럼(Consumer Goods Forum)의 국제식품안전협회(Global Food Safety Initiative, GFSI)가 개최하는 국제식품안전회의(GFSC)가 일본에서 열린 것은 이번이 처음이다. 올해는 52개국에서 1,200명이 넘는 식품업계 대표가 참석해 식품 안전과 관련해 가장 중요한 사안과 경향을 논의했다. 전체 회의를 통틀어 핵심적으로 논의된 주제는 ‘기술, 혁신 및 식품 안전의 미래’였다. 식품 안전의 발전을 위해 정부 규제 기관과 민간 부문 간의 협력 증대를 장려하고자 여러 핵심 발표가 나왔다.

    The Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) held its third government-to-business meeting adjacent to the Global Food Safety Conference in Tokyo, the industry’s annual rendezvous for the advancement of food safety globally, which is taking place from 5th-8th March. Government food safety regulators and intergovernmental organisations (IGOs) met with the GFSI Board of Directors to discuss third party certification, discussing emerging food safety issues and trends. 

    The Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) held its third government-to-business meeting adjacent to the Global Food Safety Conference in Tokyo, the industry’s annual rendezvous for the advancement of food safety globally, which is taking place from 5th-8th March.     The Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) has announced a global partnership with the International Finance Corporation (IFC), as part of its strategy to strengthen public-private partnerships. The agreement aims to strengthen the private sector in developing countries, promoting the importance of food safety, environmental and social sustainability. The IFC is a sister organisation of the World Bank and a member of the World Bank Group.
